Anna Calvera teaches and researches regularly on Design History, Design Theory and Aesthetics at the University of Barcelona. She is in charge of seminars at the degree level and lectures at postgraduate and PhD studies of the Department of Design and Visual Arts at the same university. She has been invited to lecture and teach in many different schools of Barcelona, Madrid, the rest of Spain, Europe and Latin America. She has been promoting the International Conferences on Design History working on the geographic approach to the history of design writing. She is member of the board of the EAD since the Barcelona Conference took place in 2003. She had published some books on design history, mainly on 19th Century British Tradition or also, on Catalan and Spanish Design.
She researches nowadays within the Research Group GRACMON of the University of Barcelona devoted to research Art, Decorative Arts and Design in Catalana 20th Century and she had been contributing to different research projects.
